Meet The Team

Originally from Venezuela Dr Savelli finished her dental degree from University Central of Venezuela in 1991. Dr Savelli Continued her studies at Boston University where she received a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 1995, following in 1996 with a fellowship in Hospital Dentistry at Children's Medical Center of Dallas affiliated with Baylor College of Dentistry at Dallas, Texas

Dr. Savelli, returned to her native Venezuela in 1997 where she shared her time between private practice and academic at the Romulo Gallegos University, for a period of two years. Later in 1999 she returned to United States to work for Boston Children's Hospital/ Harvard University as a full time attending in Pediatric Dentistry for 7 years.

In 2006 Dr Savelli relocated to San Diego, combining academic at Rady Children' Hospital and private practice initially, To later Dedicating her full time to Chula Vista Smiles.

She has participated in multiple professional events, has published at The Journal of the American Academic of Pediatric Dentistry and it is a Diplomate of The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

As a personal notes, Dr Savelli is the proud mom of her son Jacobo, who is a second year student at UC Berkeley. She has a spoiled Persian cat, practices yoga, and loves living in beautiful San Diego.

Dr. Sameen Zarrabi , otherwise known as Dr. "Z" is one of our pediatric dentists. She was raised in Las Vegas, NV, where she attended college and dental school where she graduated cum laude with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2011. Dr. Z then moved to Dallas, TX where she received 2 extra years of specialized training in pediatric dentistry and a Master's degree in Oral Biology at one of the most prestigious pediatric training programs in the nation at Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Z remains an active member of the community, founding and leading the pediatric dental study club and participating in charity events such as the TeamSmile and Give Kids a Smile events.

After dreaming about it since she was a little girl, she moved to San Diego in 2013 and now considers herself a San Diegan. When she isn't fighting sugar bugs and drawing pictures on teeth, she spends time with her husband and 3 year old daughter. Dr. Z recently welcomed a new member to her family, a baby boy, this past April. She also enjoys walking, going to the beach, and watching movies.
